Review of Unknown Artist

My new EP (download link - see previous post) and such a warm review from
simonspacerock.wordpress.com

It’s not very often artists from Russia are featured on Space Dust. In fact this is a first, but surely not the last time if standards are set this high.

Moonoton is the work of Russian born producer – Andrei Nikonorov – who has just as deep a fascination with Space-Disco as you and I, and this track was gracefully given to Space-Dust by Andrei himself who wrote and produced this flying diamond along with some help on guitars by his fine friend Anton.

Inspired by Vangelis – “Unknown Artist” – (yes – it is the title, and it did have me fooled as well!) glides along like the soundtrack to a spaced-out David Lynch movie sounding so effortlessly in its texture you would think Mr. Nikonorov indeed had recorded this onboard the Mir space shuttle.

If you like Prins Thomas, Henrik Schwarz, Lindström or – dare I say it – (whispered!) Aeroplane – you will lap this up like an exotic dancer to a pole.

It can only be a matter of time before you’ll see Moonoton appearing through Eskimo or DFA if it continues along these solar systems.
